2024 Spring Festival Gala of Jishou City kicks off

On the evening of February 5, the 2024 Spring Festival Gala of Jishou City was held at the Xiangxi Grand Theater in Jishou City to welcome the arrival of the Spring Festival.

The gala, with the theme of “spring”, consisted of three chapters. It began with a song and dance performance, allowing the audience to experience the lively atmosphere of the Chinese New Year. There were a total of twelve wonderful programs during the gala, like the stage musical, the song and dance drama, and the sketch, winning the audience’s continuous applause and cheers.
 
The stage musical focusing on Aizhai Bridge, presented the “Jishou spirit”, the “national will” of changing the world, and the “life vision” of the people. The song and dance drama expressed the expectations and determination of the citizens for the construction of the Daxingzhai Reservoir. The sketch told the story of the revitalization of Lixi Village in Shijiachong Sub-district through the development of courtyard economy, showing the great achievements of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization in Jishou City. Rao Hao, a young pianist from Jishou, with his sister Rao Yu, put on a joint performance of “piano and calligraphy” on the stage.
 
In addition, a folk song allowed the audience to learn about the rich and colorful folk customs of Jishou.

“The Spring Festival Gala was so wonderful. I came to experience the strong New Year flavors together with my family. If given the opportunity, I will come to watch it next year,” said a citizen.
